After Ranking Number 1, I lost!

I'm surprised as hell. This website was ranking number one for clypidus around 4 days before 1st august. I checked on all famous data-centers. On 1st august I read the brilliant post with a screen shot showing my website as number 4.

I wouldn't say I'm surprised. I might have also gotten the same results if I was searching on the google search for some random country on some other language. Although the most popular data center google.com showed my website as number 1.

But, no fights. Did I ever mention this before that I was participating in this contest not because of the entrecard credits? Yeah, you heard that right. Although 25,000 entrecard credits wouldn't be of much use to me, I participated in the contest to prove my SEO skills.

The fact is, I proved it. I am still ranking number 1 for clypidus. I proved myself. Period. As for those 300 entrecard credits that the contest starter is giving me, I'll let him spare those for some other participant because they would really go to waste on me.

Maybe someone else would use them better or would find a better use of them. Meanwhile, I'll be actually bringing up this blog. The blog doesn't end here. I will talk about SEO here and the only thing that I ever did to make it rank number 1 while some other participants were creating vanity urls on everything possible. lol

Position Number 1, Anyone?

Well, I had to take a final blow to to get to the top because there are only a few days left. This blog was ranking around number 3 for clypidus for a long time until it fell on the SERPs. It started ranking at around number 5 for clypidus which was very frustrating.

Of course, I knew all I wanted was a little push to get it to that top. All it took me was a 5-minutes work and the next day, whaddya know? I'm ranking number one. It really isn't a big achievement for me but still I'll say that it feels good to be ranking ahead of old bloggers.

The contest end in 3 days and I hope I continue to rank number 1 for clypidus. I mean, this blog really is a resource for clypidus. lol

Going Down With Clypidus And Recovering

In the past month, Clypidus SEO has been playing around in the search engine results pages, namely Google's search results. On my last update it was on number 3 but then it went down to the 6th posiiton and even to the second page which meant below rank 10 but then it recovered.

Right now, Clypidus SEO is back to the 3rd position. If you're still reading, you might want to know something. I never did any SEO work for this blog which is competing in the contest. In fact, it never needed any.

I've been seeing others doing blog commenting, etc. to gain links and wasting their time on that. Let me give you a little advice. Don't waste your time on that. The best that you could do is create content for your blog or improve your on-page optimization.

You might be thinking that I'm saying that because I want you to lose but that's the not what it is. The person whom I found commenting used to be on the first page for clypidus and now I can't find him/her even on the 2nd page.

Why? Because Google probably thought that he/she was spamming and trying to rank for clypidus and now Google might've given it a little punishment. Now, Clypidus SEO is back on number 3 and I'm hoping the ranking to improve with time. All the best

Clypidus SEO Contest Update

Sorry for the delay on this clypidus seo blog. I was a bit busy with other stuff. Anyways, I kept monitoring the results for clypidus in the precious days and today I was very happy to see that my blog was not doing too bad on the results. This is the first time I am giving results on the blog and I'm happy to announce that blog stands at position number 3 (I've verified this position at several data centers) for the keyword clypidus.

I know that is a very encouraging rank and the blog is only ranking after a blog that was already well ranked. Once google gives more importance to this blog, I'm sure it will be at number 1. Take care and wish me luck for the clypidus contest.

What is Clypidus?

On a basic note, Clypidus is nothing. That's right, Clypidus means nothing and is an exactly new word. It is just a random phrase decided by the person who started the contest at his blog. The reason why he chose a random phrase instead of an existing word was because ranking for an existing word might prove to be a little difficult.

Hence, according to google search results the competition began with exact 0 competition. That is, google showing that the search you have input might be mis-spelt. By now, the word Clypidus shows about 27 search results which will only increase with time. So this post was to cover what basically Clypidus is.
